Summary of SAAC Pageant contests.
Every term, variety day is held to feature various display of skills by the students. The senior students coordinate the selection of group and individual performances. It is always an exciting moment for all the students which made it one of the most attended events of the term. SAAC Pageant is the main feature of variety day.
The contestants walk the stage in 3 different attires: coporate, casual and traditional. They dance to some selected music and answer few questions too. The audience contribute over 75% vocal votes as the judges make their final decision. The least favored contestants are eliminated till the final round were the final selection of the winner and runner-ups are decided. A girl is crowned Miss SAAC, and the boy is declared Master SAAC (if present).
The Crown for Miss SAAC is a symbol of royalty and beauty. Every crowned Princess understood the place of the crown, which bestows some level of calmness and dedication to duties as may be assigned. Other students respect the bearer and have some sort of elevated expectation in character too. The Crown for Miss SAAC has been full of mistery. From the days of Treasure reign, the crown has not been successfully transfered to the next generation without being broken. Some say the trend is due to the type of material the crown was made of, which lack durability. No one dares to say that the generations of Miss SAAC are careless.
For the boys, the Staff of royalty has been there, though not physically. In fact, nothing has been given to the crowned Prince as a symbol. The winners have some mannerism and charisma, in which their fellow students hold in awe as they go about their daily duties.
The 7th edition of SAAC Pageant which produced the 6th generation received a boost through the provision of four sashes: one for Miss. SAAC, one for Master SAAC, and two for their Runner-up. A member of staff sponsored this feat. For the first time, the crown was not broken during the event.
SAAC Pageant will be improved on with the provision of Staff for Master SAAC, and more durable crown for Miss SAAC.
